Pablo Repun Making History

Pablo Repun Making History: The BIGGEST ARGENTINE TANGO PARTY IN NAPLES! AT THE VON LIEBIG ART CENTER von_liebig_pics von_liebig_pics_2 Pablo and Alicia Repun wish to thank everyone ‘New’ to Argentine Tango who attended our Tango Party in Naples at the Von Liebig Art Center on Saturday, January 30, 2010. We had an attendance of around 300 people! It was the most important and biggest Argentine Tango event ever done in Naples, Florida. We hope you enjoyed learning and experiencing the art of Argentine Tango. To our dear tango students from Naples, Ft. Myers, Bonita Springs, Sarasota and Miami, thank you for sharing this lovely evening with us. Our special thanks and gratitude to Selma Nettles, our student and friend, for her desire to share her passion, the dance of Argentine Tango, with the Naples community. She provided the elegant gallery  setting of fine art at the Von Liebig Art Center to showcase this passionate and alluring dance for all to experience and enjoy. In addition, she filled the evening with delightful Argentinean wines, empanadas and other favorite foods familiar to the city of Buenos Aires. We hope you enjoyed our professional Tango Show, the brief history lecture of how, when and where the dance of Argentine Tango began, the beginner’s tango lesson we provided and watching our students dance ‘social’ tango as they do in the Milongas (Argentine Tango dancing evenings) they so often attend. It will be very exciting to see the outcome from the media, Naples Illustrated Magazine and D’Latinos TV, as they photographed and filmed the event all during the evening. We will be sure to share with you the pictures when available. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our new monthly “Repun Tango Naples Milonga” on Saturday, February 13th 2010 from 8pm to 11pm at the Italian American Club.
